WOW! some turnout for Week 2 of our TT tonite. 25 cyclists plus marshals plus spectators! Everyone was much faster tonight so the race legs have started to kick in already. One would have been forgiven if one thought they were witness to a national TT championship race as there were Aero helmets, Deep rimmed wheels, Planet X bikes galore and all the associated paraphernalia. Martin broke his record from last week to set a new club record. (He only has Robin Kelly's of Comeragh CC to break from last year now...only 2 more seconds!!)

Well I'm goit to try one of those self propellant henments myself tonight if I can get out of work on time.

Can't wait until tomorrow, have managed to put on new tubulars for that extra Zipp. Has someone had a word with those cows and beagles that wander around the road occassionally?

Whats this Martin disc helmets?? I suppose you have trained your sweat to only come out the back of your head so that it provides you with an element of forward propulsion!!

Yes, some great times, some were faster than they were last year which is great for the first night, with Martin Kirwan and Siobhan Kennedy both setting personal pb's for the course. Martin went all out tonite with his aero helmet and disc wheel...there was nothing going to hold him back! Results for the 10miles are:

Great turn out tonight, especially new members and the women were well represented, ideal conditions.......well done everyone

Club TT will be starting back again on this Thurs 8th, we will be starting with the 10mile for the first few weeks and then be running the 18miler as well when we have more light.
Starting as usual from the bus stop at the ring rd. Williamstown rd. roundabout going out the Airport rd. turn around past the Airport back to the ring rd. take a left and finish at the next roudabout.
Starting at 6.30 sharp all are welcome. We will be getting a rota going for marshaling soon so everyone takes their turn, taking names for the next few weeks.
