DPD ship to Europe. They have a warehouse on the cork rd:

Might be worth trying them

(They do the shipping for planet x apparently Wink )

Why not peddle them I mean one last spin will really stand to you lond distance athletes!! Could someone not just throw them in a trailer or car? Thats alot of money!

Don't know about the insurance thingy, I'll get back on to them to find out.
I've since heard from UPS and they have quoted me €1,100 noe way for the five bikes in boxes. One week to get there. That's €300 more expensive than DHL.
I still have to hear back from Fedex.
If anybody knows any other delivery companies that might be worth contacting, please let me know.

Does this cover insurance for the value of the bikes? When I had mine delivered last year the insurance went on the weight - ie it covered feck all. I had to pay extra to get the insurance up to true value of the bike.

Okay, so I got one quote from DHL RE: shipping bikes to Zurich.
I await hearing back from UPS and Fedex.

DHL do two options.
By Air – next day delivery.
By Land – 3-4 working days.
By land is much cheaper.

Cost
The cost is determined by either the weight or the cubic size of the package, whichever is the greater.
For the purpose of getting the quote, I told them five bikes.
Assuming each bike is 10kg and each bike box is 10kg, that’s 100 kg in total.
I took the dimensions of a bike box from a website (1230 x 900 x 340) x 5.

She worked on the figures above and it turned out that the delivery charge based on cubic dimensions was much greater so that’s the cost that would apply.

Quote based on Weight
By Air - €1,251.81 less group discount = €1,000 = €200 per bike
By Land - €245.86 (no discount available) = €49 per bike

Quote based on cubic volume
By Air - €4,318 less group discount = €3,200 = €640 per bike
By Land - €804.53 (no discount available) = €804.53 = €160.90 per bike

So the best they could do was €160.90 per bike each way i.e. €321.81 per bike return.

So it’s fairly expensive!!!!
Maybe UPS or Fedex might be cheaper?
Maybe Dots and a van would be cheaper still……..Dots???
