I'll see you at the Top Garage for 8:30am

Well lads,

Whats the story tomorrow? Looking at the weather, as it stands we might be lucky and not get wet, the rain is due here at lunch time? We might be better off going in the Wexford direction as we would have the wind behind us coming home???

Who's in? The usual meeing point I suppose, 8.30 at the Top garage.

Let's just say that after the bike and run (6.5 hrs combined) I lay down in the back garden and couldn't move for at least an hour!!

We went to Cappoquin and it was the fastest 60 ish k I've done on a bike, then up and over the Vee, still going quite well as it's easier going up that side and then it all turned a bit pear shaped ok. 70 or 80k into a head wind is not pretty and it was more like every man for himself as we battled home. That's how it was for me anyway, not sure if the lads found it any easier.

I say ye cycled to Cork in an hour and it took six to come back against that wind.
Like a team time trial.

I'm in too, weather looks good but winds are going to be high - 10-12 mph.

Was thinking of 2 possible routes

1 Head out to Carrick - Lemybrien- Kilmeaden and repeat the route again, this will be a bit short but good practice at hitting the seskin twice. If we took on Templeorum on the first loop we would get the distance and another hill for practice??

2. Head for Dungarvan - Cappoquin - over The Vee - Clonmel - Waterford, again this is a little short, you townies might have to include a spin out to Tramore and back?

Wind will not be in our favour on either of these routes, but maybe that is a good thing at this stage in the training???

Otherwise we will have to do something similar to last week - Wexford Direction?? Wind in the face heading out and at our backs on the way home.

I'm in, it's about time the winter gear came off!

Sat 26th.

Well planning 5.30mins on the bike Saturday morning if anyone wants to join me. The weather looks like it will be good for a change. The norm is 8.30 from the top garage. Last week we went to Wexford-Enniscorthy-New Ross back to Waterford with some people going to and from Tramore before or after so people did between 140k to 160k. Also looking for route ideas for 160k.

Running Sunday from King Fisher at 9-9.30. Hoping to do 2.30mins and cover 20miles if anyone wants company on their long run.

The Waterford Tri train passed me on the dual carraigeway this morning heading for Slieverue direction, looking good in formation lads.

Just had another look at the weather, looks as if we might get away with the rain, expecially if we head in the Wexford direction. Only draw back here is that the wind will be in our faces all the way out but at our backs on the way home.

8:30 at the top garage is good for me. That would be 8:00 in Tramore for anyone coming from that direction.

Count me in, same as that if its raining saturday morning I'll run instead. How does 8:30 from Top garage suit?

Sat 19th May.

Well lads just letting ye know my plan.

Sat 5 hours on the tt bike followed by 1 hour run, if I can manage it and Sun 2/2.15 hour run again if I can manage it followed by 1 hour spinning the legs on the bike/exercise bike.

If I wake up Saturday and it's wet I'll just change my days around. The weather for Saturday seems to be wet but looks like it changes every time you check the forcast.

Any time between 8 and 9 for the cycle and about 9.30 for the long very steady run.

Weather looking pretty good for Saturday.

Heading from Tramore 8:00am hitting the Top Garage at 8:30am for a 5 hr TT Bike, thinking of heading towards Dungarvan, Clonmel, Carrick and home - anyone interested in joining me??

Leaving Tramore at 8am for Top garage at 8.30. Doing 4 hrs including in/out Tramore on TT bike.

Was supposed to do Fenor this weekend but missed some training due to sickness. Now Fenor knocked on the head for a big trainng weekend.

So heading from Tramore 8:00am hitting the Top Garage at 8:30am for a 4 hr TT Bike, anyone interested in joining me??
