A big thanks to all who pitched in with turbo trainers - Turbo Trainer Tuesday was a big success. The kids cycling really got into it, and loads of the classes came down to have a nose around. We've seen a big jump in the numbers of kids cycling to the school over the course of the week, although we have made an editorial decision not to show them any pictures of TC post Kilmurrin - they'd end up taking up boxing rather than cycling

your probably swamped with them at the moment but I can also give you one if you need it. Actually I borrowed it from a very kind and generous club member about 2 years ago and neglected to return it ( he does know I have it) thanks again Shane. Like Darryls it hasent got much use either.

as most of ye know, I do be teaching to earn me crust, and our school is planning a series of events to mark / promote National Bike Week. One activity we're hoping to run is "Turbo Tuesday", where we get a few bikes mounted on turbo trainers and get the kids to cycle in shifts over the course of the school day.

To wit, the 'Help needed'. We'd like to have 5 turbo trainers on the go. Mine is one down - I wonder would anyone be prepared to volunteer their beloved turbo trainer for the day to make up the other four? Also, we thought that it would be good for the kids to be able to track their heart-rate for the period (Z2 and all that craic), so if anyone had a basic HR monitor to lend for the day, that would be great as well.
