Great race prep.

7 Started the swim. Stephen D, Ger F, Paul O, Mark D, Mark H, Mike B and Emmet
Swim time 32 min + for 1950m

Cycle 96 km was led all the way by Paul O with a 34+kmph avg. Jim B joined in on the cycle
Wind in our faces all the way back the Cork road that was not at our backs to Lemybrien

Run was fast most peoples feet were numb with everyone happy bar Mark H who followed
Stephens race plan and did not eat. So he did not run much if any.
Pio chatted to most of us on the road at the tail end of a 5hr cycle.

Times will follow but

Swim 32:52, T1 6 long ish min, Cycle 2:49:36, T2 4 long ish min, Run 1:22 Total under 5hrs I think.

Race Report anyone???

For those that missed the last one you might clarify a few thinks.

Was this an official water stop you had last time, will it be repeated or was it another stash the bottle situation?

Whats the story with bikes are we working from the back of the cars or is splashworld giving us a back rooom, I think they did this in the past?

Right we are set 08:30 splashworld. Start swim at 09:00

Cycle loop same as last time look below.

Run we will continue to run on the path behind the bus stop at superquinn then out on the road after the roundabout.
Come round on the road side and back on the path after the bus stop.
We had one water stop which was two last time and I felt like it was not enough you might want to leave hide a bottle at the turn around point.

Not up for it Saturday myself , but enjoy.

If you dont want the fella behind to draft, let him know via a friendly snot rocket . Not that ill have that problem.

Not so much as a race but no waiting for any one and drafting is not really allowed
unless its OK with who you are drafting.
Just trying to keep it as real as possible.
Quicker transitions and go a little harder than last time

if the weather is grand ill do the swim, my own shorter cycle and a lap of tramore if anybody wants to do something shorter?? good chance to do all 3..

This seems to be the Plan unless things change.
Meet Splashworld Sat 5th of May at 08:30 sharp.
A bit of smack talk, friendly smack talk get bikes and cloths ready
Swim start 09:00 sharp after the little sharks leave their swim training. If we are allowed earlier great.
Swim should take 30 to 40min

Cycle 90 to 100km route to be confirmed but Tramore, Carrick may be turn off onto the N25 Carrick, up soft side of seskin, Lemybrien, back Cork road. No Drafting, lets try keep it real but the swim should make the distances. You may try cycle the route this weekend.

Run in and out Tramore road. Leave your own food, Gels, Water, power horse energy drink where ever you like.
Finish in splashworld car park about 5 ish hours later

We might have counters for the swim and if your better half wants to cycle while you run 21km they can and feed you all the way.

Its a race and a chance to try food, drink, race wheels and put TT helmet on
