Race results from weekend - Nenagh & Waterville Triathlons

Ah Helen, I'm surprised at you, you missed my age group win!!

The 1st of the National Series races took place yesterday in Nenagh with the North Tipp Sprint. The pool swim was new to some of our members but was a good experience. Some great results with Stephen D. having the 4th fastest swim time overall in 9.59mins for the 750m. There was a long wait for some of lads (esp. Stephen & Michael in waves 7 & 6) as there was 7 different wave starts, 30mins apart. Having to stay hydrated and fuelled up for the morning contributed to some people getting stitches on the run.

David learned the hard way about trying to put his tri top on after coming out of the pool as he almost strangled himself in the process

In the other end of the country in Waterville Triathlon, Chris Mintern claimed the top spot as he won the race. I have no results yet but will post them when I do.
