Barry McCarthy Memorial Swim

The Barry McCarthy memorial swim is on in Carrick this Sat 10th July at 6pm.
There will be 3 distances to choose from or to do all 3.
500m, 750m and a new 1500m distance.
In previous years, most people do the 500m swim, then everyone walks back up the riverbank to do the 750m swim. This is the 1st year of the 1500m option so that will be interesting.
You'd need to be there to register at 5pm to allow time to chat, change, etc. Registration is in the green area beside the river on the far side of Carrick (on way towards Clonmel). It costs €20 but all proceeds go to charity and it includes a lovely BBQ afterwards.
It is also a good opportunity for anyone doing Carrick Triathlon to practice the swim for race day.
