Re: Club TT 2012
Cycle TT cancelled again tonight due to rain, roads will be too wet and visibility poor especially as people will be in a racing mode. If people want to turn up and meet at Top Garage for a short leisurely cycle, please do. Hope to see you next week...

Re: Club TT 2012
After a break for the last 2 weeks due to rain, it was nice to get back in the saddle for some again tonight. We had a small number of only 9, maybe our Triathlon last Sat. resulted in a few tired legs?
Our course record 22.16mins which Robin Kelly (Waterford Racing Club) has held for the last few years was broken tonight, in quite windy conditions I might add, by a guest cyclist Felix English who is over from the UK (with his Dad) for a few days to take part in the National TT competition in Clonmel this week. He also races for the team Rapha Condor...
Week 4 results
Felix English : 21.45
Gavin Quinlan: 25.45
Jim Baldwin: 26.33
Eamon Hartley: 26.41
James Roche: 28.33
Bruce English: 28.49
Jim O'Brien: 30.00
Lenny: 31.04
Philip Morritt: 31.21
Thanks to Michael C and Helen for marshalling / timing.
Next week are are moving to our alternative course, meeting at the Top Garage (B&Q roundabout) for 6.30pm start. We will do the Orchardstown loop (left at Orchardstown cross, in to Tramore and take a left back to Waterford and a left at the ring road to finish back where you start) I think it's about 13 miles.
We will return to this course towards the end of the TT's to give people a chance to compare times (and to break the course record )

Re: Club TT 2012
The cycle Time Trial scheduled for tonight (Tues 5th June) has been cancelled for safety reasons due to rain, slippery road surface and poor visibility. Hopefully back again next Tues, same time of 6.30pm.

Re: Club TT 2012
The weather was a little kinder for Week 2 of our cycle TT with not much wind (although I stand to be corrected re. the road past the airport where it's always windy!) Most people took minutes off their time from last week, probably a combination of weather conditions, knowing the course better and knowing how hard to push themselves now. Lenny, Philip Morritt & Jim Baldwin took over 2mins off with Alan Kavanagh & James Roche almost 1min). Well Done everyone!
Week 2 Results
Martin Kirwan: 23.42
Jim Baldwin : 26.06
Dots : 26.50 (on his road bike)
James Roche: 27.54

Paddy O'Neill: 31.36
Ann Hennebry: 32.51
Thanks to Michael Carroll, Shane & Helen (& Hayden) for marshalling/timekeeping.
We will be looking for volunteers for marshalling/timekeeping from next week onwards so please text me a day or 2 in advance so I know who I have. Thanks

Club TT 2012
We started our cycle TT's for this year last night with 16 eager beavers taking part. It was a bit windy as per usual on the 10mile airport route (it always seems to be windy on Tuesday nights for some reason!) We had many new members turn up so it was great to put a face to the names and for everyone to meet each other. There were a few personal pb's set (compared to last & previous years) on the first night so it's a good sign. Well done to everyone.
