Technical Official Courses

Hi All,

Triathlon Ireland are holding Training courses for Race Directors / Technical Officials in the next few months.

Once you have done this course, you can apply to be a Race Referee or Technical Delegate for any races being held around Ireland. If you do act as a Technical Official at a race, you will receive €50 for the day plus any travel expenses (approx 55c per mile) plus any other reasonable expenses eg. phone, etc.

As a club, as we are holding 3 races this year, (2 duathlons and 1 Triathlon) so we need to provide 6 club members to act as Technical officials at upcoming races this year. If you act as Technical Delegate, you can still do the race you are officiating at if you want, as a Referee you cannot.

There are a few of us registered to attend the upcoming course in Cork on Sat. 19th Feb. (myself, Brian S, Michael C, Caroline R. Nicky Power, and maybe a few others). If anyone else is interested, please register yourself on TI website following the link above. Free lunch provided! We will car share for the drive.

(Sorry, there are no courses being held in the South East at present, TI said they might consider it next year!)
