Re: Sunday Cycle
Cycling this Saturday 29th? Don't mind Pio and his weather paranoia. There is no such thing as bad weather,
option 1 - Just the wrong clothing
option 2 - Just weak men (women)
option 3 - Shut up Stefan
I will be at Top 9.30! Possibly on my own!

Yea Shane said you were back on the bike and that it's his turn next Sunday but looking at Accu weather there wont be much cycling done this weekend.

Re: Sunday Cycle
I returned to cycling action last Sunday, leaving Shane babysitting, met Michael C., Davin, Ger & Fergie Nolan at the Top Garage. Beautiful sunny day but still a little nippy.
Myself & Michael formed the slower, shorter cycle group and did the Orchardstown loop, 17miles in total (sounds longer if I say we did 27k). Avg speed 12.5mph. I have to admit, after almost a full year off the bike, every little slope felt like Mahon Falls! Hopefully it will get easier... (And would you believe, I returned home to find Hayden still in bed! The one day he decides to have a lie in, Shane had it toooooo easy)
Davin, Ger & Fergie headed towards Lemybrien with a 2.5hour spin in mind.

Re: Sunday Cycle
So four of us showed up at the Top garage. Me, Stefan, Brian and Michael. After stashing some gear as it was a lot warmer than we had anticipated, we hit the road. It was agreed that we'd take it 'nice & easy' but it looks like Metal Bashers idea of 'easy' differs from mine. Stiil though, twas 'nice'. Out Cork Road in to headwind, turn off for Stradbally, then back the coast road (still hilly). Distance 45 miles. Average Speed 17 mph. Average HR Zone 2 my arse!
Hopefully we'll start to see more and more coming out over the next few Sundays.

D'oh! Forgot I'm in Westport this weekend - can't make bike. Pity; loving the planned session. Might miss the cycle section, but I'll make sure to fit in the coffee and cake rep so I'm not too far off the pace the following week

I feel post "long distance triathlon" I can shed copperman. Brian's 'fluffypants' suggestion is confusing. Who knows what his motivation is. My words of advice are DO NOT TEMPT THE ADMINISTRATOR, HE IS .............................. Answers on a postcard to
power crazed administrator,
Back of beyonds,
where no-one can hear you scream.
Would be up for gentle cycle sunday 16mph is ambitious, coffee stop and 14mph!

Like the new moniker, Fluffypants. Copperman has clearly met his demise
I wouldn't mind getting back into the Sunday routine, but in a sociable, 16 mph-ish kind of way. If my legs ever recover from bloody kettlebells, that is

Is there a group cycle this Sunday? Am I condemned to participate in the Comeragh train?

Sunday Cycle
Just thought I'd get the ball rolling on this.
Now with the race season almost over, the Sunday morning group cycles will begin again.
To start it off, myself and Marco agreed in the pub the night before to head out yesterday morning.
Rain stayed off. Grey clouds hung there all morning.
We went from Tramore - Town - Passage East - Woodstown - Dunmore East - Ballymacaw - Clohernagh - Tramore - Home.
Distance - 36.56 miles, Food consumed - half a banana, Average speed - Embarrassing , Heart rate - anything but Zone 2, Z4/5 on any incline...
I'm sure with the club night out this Saturday and the post Kenmare aches, there'll be no cycle this Sunday but hopefully we'll get a gang out Sunday 2nd October.
Time to dig out the tights folks........
