Re: Cycle this weekend on TT bikes
We had a small group 0f 10 today, hopefully people weren't put off by the prospects of a tough cycle...
(Stephen B, Brian S, Jim Baldwin, Gavin Q, Seamus Doyle, Louis, Pio, Derek N, John McD & myself)
Stephen, Pio, Louis & Derek turned around in New Ross as they were stuck for time, the rest of us caried on to Inistiogue, Thomastown, Mullinavat & home (some of us did out & back to Tramore also). We left out The Rower as I had sensed mutiny...
We pushed hard on the way home from Mullinavat, even caught up with some of the Comeragh CC on way back into Waterford.
I did almost 80miles, avg 18mph.
In the other group, Olive C, Michael C, (& Sinead Nolan & Yvonne from Carrick club) decided to head towards Owning, Carrick, Piltown, Fiddown & home. Did about 45miles, Avg. 15mph.

Re: Cycle this weekend on TT bikes
Thanks to Ian, Mike & Tom for showing sympathy for my many misfortunes today. Mechanical difficulty before kilmeaden, again twice before deciding to lie down at speed for a rest on the tarmac. At this stage decided to just go home and try again the next day.
Moral of this story is DO NOT clean your bike as mine was fine before it was cleaned!!!
Hope you all had a great day and my absence was too upsetting!

I'll be at Top garage on Sunday (9.30am) as usual...anyone fancy doing the New Ross-Rower-Graignamanagh-Thomastown route?? Handy!! (can also have shorter options for people) ...Just giving a few days notice for that to digest....

Sunday sounds good. Have to take TT bike though, road one is in for a service. I'll need a wide berth given my dodgy road handling skills

Will go as far as Fiddown with you. Had planned to go to Clonmel and up the mountain road to watch the Duathlon in Rarhgormac, there to meet with my beloved to visit some friends in the area and get a lift home.

Change in plan meeting Copperman at 9:00am by the Top Garage, distances will be 80 ml but there will be an option to head home early for a 60 ml ride. Some hills involved, heading up templeorum, but steady pace.

Hmmmm, an interesting proposition, perhaps.
I's rather go on the Sunday but if there's more up for the Saturday then I'm down with that too....
